Don’t Let Kroger Break Its Promise
Animals need you to call on Kroger, the nation’s largest grocer, to reinstate its longstanding commitment to banning cruel cages for laying hens in its supply chain—which it recently revoked.
Count me in! I’ll use my voice as a consumer to urge Kroger to reinstate its commitment to going 100 percent cage-free by 2025 and to publish plans to accelerate and report its progress.
Welfare scientists and other experts agree—hens confined in cages suffer immensely.
U.S. states and countries around the world are banning the cruel, outdated use of cages for hens.
Hens raised in cages spend almost their entire lives on floor space smaller than a sheet of printer paper.
